Our tips for a visit to the Lorrainebad sauna:
Preparation
- Our website provides information on opening hours and current capacity.
- Please bring your own 2 towels (1 x for sauna, 1 x for relaxation).
- Bring your own bathing shoes and bathrobe if required.
- Swimwear or sauna kilt, if you wish to use the sauna (you are free to decide whether to go naked or with textiles) – please do not wear any synthetic fabrics in the sauna.
- If required, a small padlock to lock a box in the checkroom.
On site
- To enter, please check in with the staff in the reception yurt (first yurt on the left) as soon as you arrive. The exact procedure will be explained to you there.
- Valuables can be deposited at reception or locked in a box in the checkroom with your own padlock.
- For hygienic reasons, always take a shower before your first sauna session (1 hot water shower available). (Cleaned pores sweat better!)
- The fires in the yurts are maintained by the staff.
- If you’d like to use the water provided for the infusions, please check with the other guests in the sauna.
- Cooling off after a sauna session – either in the fresh air, under the outdoor shower, in the bathtub or in the Aare.
- Relaxing in the reception yurt, silent and relaxation yurt or in the outdoor area.
- Water, tea and refreshments in the reception yurt.
- Our values charter welcomes everyone. Find out more under Values.
- Monday is FINTA Day. The acronym FINTA stands for women, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people. FINTA Day is aimed at people who self-identify as such – in other words, anyone who is patriarchally discriminated against because of their gender identity. Cis male people (who were assigned the male gender at birth and identify as such) are welcome on all other days.
